Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I‑25 in Lone Tree
Late Saturday night, a motorcyclist lost their life in a devastating crash on Interstate 25 in Lone Tree, Colorado.
The fatal incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the northbound lanes between mileposts 188 and 192, according to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and reported by Denver7 Here.
Emergency responders found the motorcyclist deceased at the scene. The Investigation suggests that the person was struck by multiple vehicles.
While some drivers stayed behind to assist, no citations have been issued as of now. A witness, Terin Bolton—who was returning from Colorado Springs—described the scene as shocking, noting multiple cars stopped and the seriousness of the incident.
CSP spokesperson Trooper Sherri Mendez highlighted an ongoing increase in summer traffic fatalities statewide. As of August 6, Colorado had already seen 163 fatal crashes this year—bringing the statewide total to 278, compared to 307 for the prior year. CSP continues its efforts to curb these tragedies through sobriety checkpoints and public safety programs. The public is also encouraged to report aggressive or impaired drivers by dialing *277, providing vehicle descriptions, license plate information, and location details.
