Commuters were advised to take alternate routes, including Central Park Boulevard or Quebec Street for local traffic. Those traveling from the south were directed to use I-225, while drivers coming from the north could take Green Valley Ranch Boulevard to Peña Boulevard or E 120th Avenue to E-470.
The highway reopened at approximately 6:07 a.m., but lingering delays persisted for nearly 20 minutes afterward. Authorities have not released details on the circumstances leading to the collision or the identity of the victim.
