On the morning of July 21, 2025, a deadly wrong‑way collision occurred on Highway 285 near Highway 8, west of C‑470 in Jefferson County. Troopers with Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene and confirmed two fatalities.

2.  That Cadillac then collided with a Chevrolet Colorado, whose driver sustained minor injuries.

Victims

Following the crash, Michael Colson was arrested on Monday, August 12, 2025. He’s now facing multiple serious charges, including:
